Cylinder Dryer Description:
Cylinder Drier is mainly used for drying wet materials in building construction, metallurgy, chemical industries, and it can dry various materials with strong adaptability. Besides, it is common drying device in cement plant with simple and reliable operation.
Working principle of the rotary dryer
Dry wet material is shipped to the hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then through the feeding machine of the hopper into the feeding end. The feeding pipe’s slope is must greater than the material’s natural dip angle, so that the material can flow into the dryer smoothly. Dryer cylinder is a s rotating cylinder tilted with the horizontal slightly. Material from high to join, and the heat carrier from low to enter, and contact with the material in countercurrent. It also happen that heating medium and material flow into the cylinder together. With the rotation of the cylinder, the material operated to a bottom end by gravity. When the wet material moved forward in the cylinder body, it got the heat from the heat carrier directly or indirectly to heat the wet material to dry, then sends out in the discharge end by belt conveyor or screw conveyor. The cylinder body wall is equipped with a copy board, its function is to copy material up and down, and to increase the contact surface between the material and the airflow , in order to improve the drying rate and promote the material forward.. Heat carrier generally includes hot air and flue gas, etc. After heat carrier going through the dryer, it is generally needed to use cyclone to capture down the materials the gas brings. If you want to reduce exhaust dust load in further, you need to pass bag house or wet dust collector before let them out.
