The primary reason for premature roofing failure is typically due to a lack of adequate ventilation.  Even if every precaution is taken to assure a roof’s integrity, with just the normal process of heating & cooling, there will be some condensation, that with proper ventilation will be evaporated quickly enough that there is minimal to no lasting effects.  On a typical sunny summer day, roofing material underneath the top overlay can reach temperatures of 160 degrees!  Proper installation of an adequate number of roof vents allows damaging heat a way to escape, reducing temperatures to harmless levels.  Finally, and moreover, through the normal expanding and contracting that roofs of all types must endure, is pressures that develop as an artifact of those natural processes.  Proper ventilation reduces all these issues!  Each Aluminum One-Way Vent features a vandal-proof cap to prevent wind-blown rain or snow from entering.
