The new RACE-X60 – blasts into the future with completely redesigned
cutting edge technology.
Caperdoni is proud to present the new RACE-X60. We noticed that more and more companies are
realizing increased profitability producing tricot on the RACE-1 & 2; therefore, we decided to redesign
the RACE from the ground up, for the more demanding tricot market, incorporating the latest motor
and digital driver technology, while at the same time making the RACE easier to use and more
economical to run.
Some of the improvements over the RACE 1 & 2 include:
1) Easier to use - the new electronic timing and 1 hr gauge change has made set up and changing
gauges quick and easy.
2) Completely redesigned, programmable, motor controlled fabric take down system, improving
fabric tension and allowing for different tension settings to be programmed at any part of the fabric.
This guarantees the best possible stitch control (i.e. in a scarf, more tension is needed for the body
part of the scarf and less for the fringe).
3) Revolutionary needle bed racking system ensures precision, reliability and ease of use. The latest
generation motors and digital drivers are utilized to electronically control the racking movements
of both needle beds - with up to 7 racking positions, depending on the gauge).
4) User friendly, enhanced software, allows the possibility to program variable take down tension.
With the elimination of all cams, programming the stitch pattern becomes much easier and helps
to insure the best possible control over the fabric construction.
5) More economical to run (all compressed air has been eliminated reducing the operating costs
of the new RACE-X60).
Even with all the improvements, the RACE.X60 is the same price as it’s predecessor, the RACE-2
