Bangla Trac Limited (conducting business under the name ‘Bangla Cat’) was appointed the dealership for Caterpillar engines and equipments in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on the 11th of October 2004. Banglacat management brings with it over thirty years of experience in marketing Caterpillar products in Bangladesh. Banglacat also brings with it the commitment to improve the already high level of service and coverage that Caterpillar customers receive. 30% of Bangladesh's total country capacity of power is generated by Caterpillar generators which is exclusively distributed and serviced via Banglacat. It is the market leader in Power Generation Solutions in Bangladesh. Banglacat was also awarded the largest Caterpillar Electric Power Dealer in the Asia Pacific Region in 2007, 2008 and it is among the top 5 Caterpillar Electric Power Dealers globally.
